Our doctors CHOOSE to live in Fernie BC because it allows them the ability to live amongst the natural world.
Dr Denoon strongly believes in the ability of nature and the natural environment to influence human health. She has dedicated much research to this exact topic. She and the clinic continue to be a benefactor for local conservation efforts such as Wildsight to protect the area for our enjoyment and use, as well as our health.
The clinic contributes to Outdoor Connection because we believe in the program that they have created, immersing young children in the outdoors, helping to cultivate a relationship with the natural world at a young age. We know this is how you build stewards for the protection of our natural world for the future.
Our doctors are members of the Fernie Chamber of Commerce and support local businesses whenever possible. Our doctors are often found speaking at community events such as Goddess Rising, or supporting community programs such as Bellies to Babies at the Woman’s Centre. Dr Denoon supports career days in the schools as well as is open to being involved in other school projects when approached.
Dr Denoon’s connection to her garden and medicinal foraging would not be possible if she did not live where she lived, nor would her conviction in the bodies ability to heal when given the proper environment. Our doctors LOVE Fernie and are in the process of hopefully expanding their practice to serve more people in the Elk Valley and extended regions, as well as to bring a new service to town! We are looking forward to having more capacity to serve beyond Fernie, including Sparwood, Elkford, the Crowsnest Pass, Jaffray, Galloway, Baynes Lake and more!
